My opinion:

- Here we are immersed in a history of vampires, werewolves, Valkyries, etc. ... The back cover gives the tone right away and I found it quite original reading a story about a werewolf who falls for a vampire, in spite of himself first. Are mixed species and we could see a message of tolerance (why not?).

The central story is of course the love story and the fact that Lachlain will have to get used to the idea that her soulmate is a vampire but also ensure that it falls also in love with him, which is not necessarily won.

Then, another plot continues its course in parallel, vampires who seem Emmaline continue, it is unclear why all the intrigue and lies in the answer to this question. I must say that once past the denouement, I found it very well imagine!

Beware the faint of heart, the carnal are the least explicit!

- Emmaline is at least an original heroine. Shy, timid, unsure of herself, she did not even realize its beauty, being banal. I liked to follow the evolution of the character, gentle and gradually.
