Swan Black "girl of the storm Volume 1 - Richelle Mead

Title: Black Swan - daughter of the Storm (Volume 1)
Author: Richelle Mead
Edition: Milady
Number of pages: 493 pages

Abstract:

It's all me! no sex life for months and suddenly, all obsessed with the Underworld began to chase me ...

Eugenie Markham is a shaman. endowed with great powers, it has a successful business by banning our world Faes and other spirits who venture there. Hired to find a kidnapped teenager in the Shadowlands, Eugene discovers a prophecy which reveals the hidden secrets of her past and her subject very unpleasant future! Eugenie has nice handle the stick with as much assurance as the gun, it needs allies for such a mission. It will Dorian, a seductive Fae king with a penchant for bondage, and Kiyo, a gorgeous Shapeshifter.

My opinion:

- This is a new series that I intend to follow closely! In fact I am quite fascinated by the first book that I found wildly entertaining, well fed and full.

universe invented by Richelle Mead is well thought out, worked well. The plots are well fed and tied so that the suspense lasts until the end! It alternates between action, revelations, explanations and can not see through the pages. Okay I admit I had a little trouble at startup, it takes time for things to put, say the first 100 pages, no big deal then.

I point out that there are carnal scenes and they are the least explicit and relatively flood ... Attention to sensitive souls so ...

- The characters are very interesting and colorful. Personality, past clearly defined for each, we find them believable and endearing. I enjoyed Eugenie is a heroine to whom we can relate to or feel close to her. Dorian will bring many surprises and I'm sure I'm afraid not Kyio breaks my heart then, but we shall see.

- I'm a fan of Richelle Mead since I read the first volume of Georgnia Kincaid - Succubus Blues, I only read the first book Vampire Academy, but I intend to remedy ... and she finished me with convincing Black Swan! I look forward to quickly read volume 2 and volume 3 so quickly!

This book was read in the context of the common reading scheduled for January 6, 2011 on Livraddict .

Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte

I had already read this novel in the sixth. My French teacher of the time we had imposed during the holiday reading of Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea or Jane Eyre ... Not being very focused on the fantastic beasts, I chose the latter without knowing in what I was getting into ... Of course, I loved my reading, it was the first classic I read and I realized it was a favorite! At the time, I read and reread certain passages and I cried all the tears in my body!

Today, on the occasion of this rereading, I realize 2 things ... A: I did not cry! Will I become heartless? Nay! I had the tears in their eyes, they were ready to escape and yet I have content ... it must be like being an adult ... Yet crying was good for me during a "read emotion."

Two, I knew the story by heart! No surprise even if my last reading dates back 15 years ... this story is now part of my brain!

And three (bein yes!) Read Charlotte Bronte is always so much fun! I can not help but identify with Jane Eyre, I imagine myself wearing dresses sad (black or gray), keep me right, spend my time studying and working conscientiously, be reasonable when passion would carry me ... 17h drink tea!

I can not tell you the story because either you've already read so you know it, or you have not read it yet and I do not want to take away the surprise of retrounements situations! Now I really want to read Wuthering Heights that I know. My book is once again, at my father ... I hesitated to retrieve the last time ... I should have! Now I must wait ... I'm really not ... Jane Eyre I'm neither patient nor reasonable! I moaned!
