Nightrunner Volume 1. Random I took two weeks to read this book and immerse myself in the universe
Lynn Flewelling. My journey has been fraught with adventures, beautiful encounters, smiles and goose bumps ...

Nightrunner is not a book that made me the eye ...
To be honest, I There also wore little attention.
However, the desire for a little fantasy, and the need for a bookish discovery convinced me to seek a partnership where
Livraddict and
Bragelonne have proposed ...
Today I know I'd missed out on a very pleasant time reading, and a beautiful discovery.
...
My fears about indulges, focused on her gender ...
Was it a series
"High Fantasy" (see wikipedia definition
, and thank you for giving me
Siana informed on what kind ^ ^), where fighting and endless quests were sequenced over 500 pages? (Not because of any connoisseur of this kind, I have a pretty good idea stopped! * Sorry fans! *)
And no, definitely not.
Masters Shadow of is not necessarily "classifiable," it is a whole.
...
The first pages of the book take us through a jovial tone, to know the characters, following their meeting.
So we know a
Seregil somewhat crazy, but bright, talented, and much smarter than it seems. On a "whim", he decided to take Alec
as an apprentice, a young man of 17 years weakened by the death of his father and as free as air.
Man seasoned cities, and the boy naive campaigns: this is a duo whose members grow together over the pages and words, learning from each other, constantly.
The master is not always what it grows ^ ^
Lynn Flewelling leaves us time to tame the characters and the world she has created.
The journey of two buddies we discover the lands of the north, rivers and lakes, in winter, sometimes stopping at the inns more or less gloomy port cities; us with the world, its operations and its history ...
And so he does not seem indigestible. (As is sometimes the case in Fantasy.)
...
Then, as we take a liking to the lightness of the conversations between the two men, and speed, quiet, their journey, things go wrong.
A descent into hell is happening before our eyes. And a creature
morbid spectrum inflexible agitated before this body trembling ...
The story takes a first turn in the second quarter of the book.
During a time that will seem long, but for which the desire and need to turn the pages we do not give up, we are in an epic quest and almost unwinnable.
The desire to know the result we tapping incessantly.
...
Then comes the sequel.
And the theme becomes less black, suddenly ...
I'll stop there not to spoil the pleasure of your reading, but know that ultimately, these two alternating moods throughout the story.
The "prophecy" (if it is) on one side, filled with a darkness without bottom, hovering over our minds like a sword of Damocles
threatening to strike at any time, and the main characters ( four men in all) from another side, united by a friendship that no curse seems filled break ... Links
beautiful and fidelity bonds without flaws. A male quartet
quality.
...
And, how this duality of tone, two themes also share our reading:
While we try to understand the ins and outs of the main plot, we also follow the learning of Alec
as "
Watcher." And what
learning!
pick a lock, dress (passages hilarious!), Change his accent, to know the habits and customs of such or such areas, fighting with swords or bare hands, be discreet, sneaking, lying, etc. .. .
This is my favorite aspect, I think.
That exchange of learning "trivial" the warrior or the magician, and gives us scenes really funny and original.
* I also regret that we did not see more ... I would not say no to some extra costumed parades! *
...
short, this book is taking, mythology is inventive, and the writing quality is ...
I read on the web that the translation of the previous version, exit at
Mnémos was really poor.
This is not the case here, I assure you.
This series is scheduled in 7 volumes in total. (Phew, I hope that the author happens to keep the pace until the end ... If so, good times are coming ^ ^) The first two have just been republished in
Bragelonne . (The 2nd,
The Night Stalkers of just been ordered by me! No, I did not resist, and it is wrong ^ ^!)
hopefully not having too wait for the third;)
As always, I'll keep you posted.
Meanwhile, a big thank you to
Bragelonne Livraddict and for allowing me this discovery!
I'm not disappointed with the trip;)
...
And you, will you try this tour?
My Note for Nightrunner Volume 1: 4.3 / 5 And hop, I want to add this book to my challenge ABFA V & S!
