Abstract:
Former vampire hunter Michael Quinn is determined to become human. His only solution: seize the Eil, a powerful artifact. But a bounty hunter, killer of supernatural creatures are after him: Janie Parker. The Eye is his only chance to get into the good graces of his boss evil. This threat, in fact, the beheaded if she can not find it. Janie has no choice: she must kill Michael, he is so seductive ...
My opinion:
Firstly, I want to thank editions Milady and Livraddict for this partnership!
After the first two volumes very popular, I was anxious to begin the third. Firstly, the first thing that comes to mind when passing "A notch" is that it is up to the first two.
In this novel, we move away from our lovely Sarah Dearly to focus on Quinn. What more when it is one of my favorite characters from this saga? Well nothing. We spend some quality time just reading.
Quinn tries so desperately to find the Eye in order to become human. Janie on She must also find this artifact on behalf of her boss if she does not want to spoil things for her. Paths and Janie Quinn will therefore be (re) crossing for our greatest pleasure.
The whole story is well put together, although we alternate moments of action and quiet moments ago, as I said earlier, action, romance, a touch of intrigue. Everyone is benefiting.
While Sarah Dearly Volume 1 and 2 made me think more of the chick lit bit of background on bed, I found that this Volume 3 s'encrait bit more in bed. We should see no negative note in there, it's just finding the evolution of the saga and I am very curious to know what we will book more.
- I loved learning about Quinn, I was drooling on each of his appearances in previous volumes and that is that he devotes an entire book. Magnificent. Quinn evolves throughout the novel, he becomes aware of many things, I will not say too much, but I loved the track. Same thing for Janie, we had encountered in the second volume and I loved to follow its evolution in it. Lenny, his teammate made me laugh and I liked also follow Barkley, and I would not be surprised that to learn more about him later.
- Finally, another great time spent with the addition of Michelle Rowen. I really enjoy this saga and I will continue to follow for sure!
