What Would Happen If I Put Oragel On My Weiner

Dresden Files.

This is a ticket waiting patiently in my drafts.
I read this book a few weeks ago now, after seeing the enthusiasm among other things, Cedric .
A pleasant book, but some defects were prohibitive.
Explanations ...

"PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS. CONSULTATIONS AND TIPS. ATTRACTIVE PRICES.
All good wizards called Harry, and Harry Dresden is the best. Technically, it is the only in its" category "when the Chicago police is a matter that transcends it to her she turns. Because our world is full of strange and magical things ... and most do not get along very well with humans.
The magic that you gat a guy in less than two! "
(Editions Milady.)

In the first pages of Notice Storm, we meet a cynical Harry Dresden , and makes us stronger effect of a rag as a man ...
Indeed, the magician has trouble making ends meet financially, and her love life seems to be far from exciting.
But soon, the main plot takes place: the murders are committed absolutely awful for some time in Chicago and judging by how the hearts of the victims appear torn, it can only be black magic. At the request of Karrin Murphy bureau chief of investigations Special Harry Dresden is on the case is so ...
Here begins the novel.
And initially, we almost lost. Too much information, several investigations (the magician will engage in another case.), And some characters on the list of "villains" potential. In this steady stream , different elements appear to us very well imagined : some comical creatures , (the "spirits", for example), some really dangerous (the vampire of the city gives us the flesh hen, for example .)...
But after reading almost a third of the book, we begin to wonder if all those things will really lead somewhere!
Fortunately, yes.
There is also the nice feature of this umpteenth book urban fantasy: the investigation is conducted.
Indeed, Jim Butcher starts to get lost over the first few pages, to finally make sense of it all. Things take place then, and the second half of the book reads without hunger ;)
Some scenes are really funny , (imagine a creature resembling a huge toad snarling, chasing a naked Harry Dresden and its conquest of the evening in mind anesthetized by a love potion in the streets soaked by the storm of the century, Chicago ... Not bad, eh?! ^ ^), Others really involved. (Final scenes, for example.)
So yes, the story holds, and even contains a bit of creativity (avoiding the facilities of its kind.).
But in all this, a catch remains. ..
And this is the level of language .
Yet I am not one to be shocked by some "big words" and think I read a lot worse than that ... yet.
Yet I found the writing sometimes much too familiar, even vulgar . I got the impression when reading certain passages, to be really embarrassed by this accumulation.
So yes, it will probably tell me that this is part of what character Harry Dresden, but no, I did not do.
This aspect also almost prevented me to attach myself to this magician, I have finally found heavy, soft and starved of sex appeal! A notice
halftone, therefore, for this first volume of the Dresden Files.
shall I read next?
I'm not sure ...
Too bad, because some aspects this book really convinced me ...

But I am curious to know if I'm the only one who was bothered by this language?!
What did you think you?

Note to My Opinion Storm: 3 / 5
