Title: Noughts And
Author: Malorie Blackman
Edition: Milan (Macadam)
Number of pages: 397 pages

Abstract:

Callum looked at me. I did not know before that, at a glance how much could be physical. Callum caressed my cheeks, then his hand touched my lips and my nose and forehead. I closed my eyes and I felt it touch my eyelids. Then his lips and took the lead in turn explored my face. We were going to make it last this time. Make it last forever. Callum was right: we were here and now. It was all that mattered. I let myself go, ready to follow wherever there Callum would take me. Paradise. Or hell.

Imagine a world. A world where everything is black or white. Where what is black is rich, powerful and dominant. Where what is white is poor, oppressed and despised. A world where communities compete with blows from racist laws and bombs. It is a world where Callum and Sephy are not allowed to love. Because she is black and the daughter of a minister. And her white son of a rebel underground.

My opinion:
I have heard many good things about this book and these reviews are all so positive to me decided to start this novel. I am very glad to have read, it is really worth!

- In a world of black racism against white people, two teenagers trying to live their lives without asking the other, just to be left alone. Apparently it's too much to ask. Sephy and Callum are childhood friends who grew up side by side and, at the dawn of adolescence discover that things become difficult with age.

is a novel speaks of racism, tolerance, justice and injustice, love and hate. I was carried away by this novel so poignant, the pages will scroll fast enough, the chain of events and bounce, you never know what to expect, the fate fall upon the two being that only ask 'to love. Emotions abound we go from joy to anger through the sadness, hope and despair we revives consumes us. In short, I do not think we come out unscathed from this book.

- I was very touched by our two main characters: Callum and Sephy. Callum is white oppression, which Life is full of toil and hardship while Sephy lives in wealth and opulence but is not as much a spoiled little girl but someone who has heart and wants to change things. The other characters are just as striking as the father and brother Callum who are engaged in a terrorist movement against blacks, or Sephy's mother who, despite his status as an alcoholic is deep, short, all the characters challenge us to different degrees and one can not remain indifferent.

- The author's style is really excellent. The story is very well built, emotions overwhelm us, it is driven into the narrative.

short, a complete success and a favorite for me.
